It is a skill to find the softness in such a rigid material.
My inspiration is drawn from everyday objects and I have worked over the years to turn everyday objects into beautiful pieces of art.
While still at high school I got into making things from dads scrap bins and called myself RawIron.
Dad taught me the basics of welding at the age of 10 and from there on I have experimented and allowed my knowledge to grow through hands on experience.
This gallery shows works from 2004-2020.

Darcy the ranch Giraffe allthingswhiting
After moving into Melbourne and re-igniting my artistic side I needed a challenge… …A large challenge. A fond memory of a two-meter paper mache giraffe made by my late grandfather Darcy was my inspiration. My sculpture ‘Darcy’ is a tribute to a great man and a happy time in my life.

Playing with steel I could never wear nice things, I tried for a while but stilettos and lingerie always ended up in recycle bins.
